Year 8 & 9 Girls Futsal Competition
The evening of the 6th February saw five teams of year 8 & 9 girls arrive at Cannock Chase High School to battle for a place at the County School Games Futsal Finals at Fenton Halls ion 5th March. The games, on the whole, were tight affairs with four of the ten games finishing in a draw. SUA were missing two of their girls who had just gained County selection at U.14, but there was really only one team in it.
The team from Kingsmead were unstoppable, scoring 17 goals whilst keeping a clean sheet throughout the event. We wish them well at the County Finals where they join their Year 7 girls team. Hednesford seems to be a hotbed of girls football!
